As Chair of the Cabarrus Parks & Recreation Commission - this one is near and dear to my heart.
Earlier this decade, the County entered into a plan called the “Livable Community Blueprint”. There are 4 years left in the plan and quite a few parks to go. The community, as a whole, is behind and growth projections in the plan were behind what actual growth has been. In other words, there is less park per person than is called for in the plan. As a commissioner, what will you do to insure that future generations have adequate facilities for recreation?
