This article is an index to nine other articles meant to to address honest concerns about the project and the City of Kannapolis and Cabarrus County’s involvement in funding some of the infrastructure through Tax Increment Financing (TIF) bonds.

Here are the statments and links:

“TIF is too risky.  What if David Murdock backs out of the project, makes the Research Center non-profit to get out of paying taxes, or otherwise reneges on his public commitments?  By the way, aren’t TIF bonds considered ‘Junk Bonds’?”

“David Murdock has already started the project.  Why should we be funding it?  Isn’t it against the language of the NC Consititution allowing TIFs to fund a project that would have gone on anyway?”
