For those of you living in exile in the gerrymandered 12th, there’s hope! The 12th District Republican Party Convention is coming up. Marylnn Burns shared the details that follow:
Please remind all 12th District Republicans that the 12th GOP Congressional District Convention is 21 April 2007. This year we will meet in Lexington at the Davidson County Courthouse, S. Main Street . Registration begins at 9:00am and the convention convenes at 10:00am.
Cabarrus County is fortunate to have two precincts in the 12th Congressional District. Those citizens who live west of I-85 in Cabarrus County are in the 12th District.
The 12th Congressional District has never been developed to realize its Republican potential, but that is about to change. We have some committed 12th District Republicans that are ready to plan, act, and work for the benefit of all citizens in this vibrant and vital district. It is important for us to recognize that the strengths the Democrats included in this district with their careful sculpting of the district definition are also available to us.
We can enjoy good Republican fellowship, and after the convention enjoy some good Lexington barbecue!
