I’m on the back end of a trip to South Korea (I should be returning today, tomorrow, yesterday…freakin’ date line); but I thought I would bring you five interesting articles from the Better Bloggers.

5. Sister Toldjah:  She’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Cynthia McKinney, former US House Representative from Georgia who assaulted a Capitol Police Officer is looking to run for President.  Yes, that crazy shrew wants to have her finger on the button.  No, I’m not kidding - go check it out.  (Hat Tip, Ms. Toldjah on the video)

4. The Village Scribe:  Remember Lee Iacocca?  He’s got a new book and our friend from Union County was kind enough to share an excerpt.  And I’m going to take the liberty of sharing an excerpt of the excerpt.

And don’t tell me it’s all the fault of right-wing Republicans or liberal Democrats. That’s an intellectually lazy argument, and it’s part of the reason we’re in this stew. We’re not just a nation of factions. We’re a people. We share common principles and ideals. And we rise and fall together.

Where are the voices of leaders who can inspire us to action and make us stand taller? What happened to the strong and resolute party of Lincoln? What happened to the courageous, populist party of FDR and Truman? There was a time in this country when the voices of great leaders lifted us up and made us want to do better. Where have all the leaders gone?

AMEN!!!  HALLEUJAH!!! PREACH IT BROTHER, um, uh…Iacocca.  There must have been something in the water in Detroit; because I’ve been feeling the same way lately.  Read more here.

3. Tara Servatius:  Those who are trying to oppose the train in Charlotte could be helping out those who support it by opposing the train when those supporting it can demonstrate progress to those who are currently unsure, but may be persuaded until more comes out after the vote that those who are trying to oppose the train will probably use whereby those who support it will claim a mandate.  It’s less confusing when Tara tells it.

2. The Evangelical Outpost.  Joe Carter gives us a view of what science debates might look like in the future.

1. How To Change The World.  What happens when you mix an idea, one venture capitalist, and $12,000 and change together?  Go check it out.

See y’all Monday
