Jail Compromise: Here We Go Again

The Cabarrus Neighbors reports that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and the Jail Trail folks are going to back to try to find some common ground on the jail.

Yes, you’ve seen this before.  No, the CN and I aren’t in cahoots trying to recycle stories.  This is in today’s paper.

They’ve tried this before, and I said it would fail. And, I was right.  It will fail again.

This whole thing reminds me of a story from Greek Mythology.

Which one?  Hint 1: Look at the picture at the top of the post: can anyone tell me where the picture at the top of the post came from?  In case you don’t remember, Here’s Hint #2 .

Here’s a poll, let me know what you think:

Will Jay White and Grace Mynatt be able to work out a compromise with Jail opponents?

    Who was Sysiphus?

Great work on your previous post concerning the jail. You covered everything I had been thinking. I especially like your observation of how so many city councilmen and commisioners lives so close to the “affected” area.

    You’re right!

I’m afraid that the Jail Debate won’t shift the focus from Downtown Concord to the rest of the City. It’s going to take something bigger…like having elected officials outside of walking distance to City Hall.
