I’m adding this weekly article just so you get an idea of what the buzz is on this blog.

Traffic

This was the busiest week ever at the Cheap Seats. According to Sitemeter, there were 962 visits and 2070 page views from Friday, July 20 to Thursday, July 26. The biggest day was the 20th with 264 visits and 470 pageviews. This was the day after the arrest of Coy Privette. The day before there were 447 visits and 678 page views.

The lowest day was Wednesday, July 25 with 64 visits and 154 pageviews. That might have had to do with a hosting glitch that caused the site to be down from about 10:30AM to 2:00PM that day.

According to Google Analytics, there were 693 unique visitors - 59.08% of whom were visiting the Cheap Seats for the first time.

The most popular search term was “coy privette” or some variant on that. About a third of the visits to the site were due to that term. This site was the top ranked site for the phrase on both Google and Yahoo. Because of the massive amounts of blogging on the topic - the Cheap Seats have been relegated from first to about 60th. It’s still the top-ranked site for the phrase “coy privette” on Yahoo.
Another little interesting tidbit on that search term, “coy privette” was the 85th most searched term in the nation on July 19th on Google - according to the Salisbury Post.

The funniest search term would have to be this one: “how can i tell if im the daddy” which lead the viewer to the announcement of our second child (due in January).
