The following is a letter from the North Carolina Republican Party that references one sent earlier this week from the Cabarrus County Republican Party:
August 30, 2007
Dear Commissioner Privette:This letter is to confirm in writing what I have said to you by telephone.
In view of your recent confession to aiding and abetting prostitution, I want you to know that I fully support the call for you to submit your immediate resignation from the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. Despite your many years of service to the people of Cabarrus County and the Republican Party, your behavior has severed a public trust, and you have sacrificed the privilege to represent the people of North Carolina. Your confessed conduct is dishonorable to yourself, your family, the people you represent, and our Party. Although you have served with honor and distinction in the past, I join with other Republican leaders in Cabarrus County and across the state urging you to do the honorable thing today by resigning your position on the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners.
We entrust the leaders in our Party to uphold high ethical standards, and your failure to do so has brought disgrace and dishonor to the entire community. I urge you to resign immediately.
Sincerely,
Linda Daves
Chairman
North Carolina Republican Party

What specifically has Coy done for you and/or the rest of us to engender such devotion?

I have know idea if you are an elder but I am,taxes are 15 year old jail and now we are going to demo that and are new million dollar jail or more, blank check .To many other things to mention.

Unbelieveable. First off, the current jail was built in the early 70s - making it more than 30 years old.
Did you know that is was Coy who made the motion in 2004 to put the new jail at its proposed location and set the scope at the number of beds the county is proposing now?
C’mon “herman” - do you have anything that’s true that Coy Privette has done to earn your blind devotion?

I made a mistake on the 15 years but what about the motion for the million dollar jail?
Thank you for telling me how you feel.
