Update From Palmer - Say Hello To Bro
August 15th, 2007 · 17 Comments
Palmer Thibault here again. I’ve hacked into Daddy’s blog again to inform the readers of my progress on the hottest story in the County. As you know, Mommy and Daddy have embarked on an experiment by hiding a baby in Mommy’s belly. I firmly believe that babies don’t belong in bellies and you all should [...]

Update from the Jackie Broyles Campaign
August 15th, 2007 · Comments Off
With the 2008 election just a mere 447 days away, there are those of you who are still undecided about who you’re going to cast your vote for the highest office in the land.
It’s unbelieveable to me.
In spite of your fickleness, I’m including three messages from the Jackie Broyles for President campaign to hopefully sway your vote.

Update: I shut the new comments plugin down - it was causing a lot of problems - I will make it work before too long though.
OK, I’ve installed a new plugin that should help everyone keep up with the good bit of comments on this site. Special thanks to Mark over at the Village Scribe.

Now, Congressman Robin Hayes is helping out.
This from the Sailsbury Post:
Hayes worked to get specific language in the bill to recognize the importance of plant genetic and nutrition research [...]

I Might Be Wrong
August 9th, 2007 · 3 Comments
When it comes to attempted jail compromises in the past, I’ve been right; but judging from this bit in the Indepedent Tribune - I might be wrong about a recent prediction of failure:
Commissioners want to tighten the screws on a proposed compromise for the county’s downtown jail project that provides two thirds of the beds [...]

Kudos to Thierry
August 8th, 2007 · 5 Comments
Thierry (AKA LiberalNC of Left on 49 fame) actually did something on my “to-do” list. Before I started talking about the upcoming municipal elections, I wanted to post the candidates’ political registration information. But, Thierry beat me to it AND upped the ante by making a Google Maps Mashup
As you know, municipal elections are “non-partisan” which is code [...]
