For those just tuning in, I didn’t plan on posting anything until today; but events got the better of me. Here are some of the highlights.
Coy Privette Situation
I posted both the County GOP statement and the State GOP statement “demanding” and “urging” his resignation from the Board of Commissioners and the Republican Men’s Club.
Personally, I’m glad neither “asked”. Commissioner Privette’s decision to stay on does no good for the Party, the community, or Coy and his family.
This week’s poll deals with the situation - for those reading this via RSS feed or e-mail - you’ll have to go to the site to vote.
Many of you probably saw the article in the Tribune about the “frustrated blogger”. It’s not me; but Thierry Wernaers of Left on 49 fame. I forwarded my e-mail requesting Coy’s resignation to coyresign@gmail.com - you should, too…even if you sent one to Coy yourself.
Interesting Labor Day Article
Is Labor Day just for laborers? I asked that question in Monday’s post and found an interesting answer elsewhere.
New Links
I updated the links, because some blogs were defunct and one was getting annoying. I added Revernend Mike’s House of Homletic Hash - even though it isn’t updated very often: Mike’s blog is worth a read.
Also, I signed this blog up for the North Carolina Blogger News Network. You can see the latest from Conservative blogs around the state in the sidebar.
This Week
I’ll be reprising (and finishing) the Appetite for Construction series from last August. Also, there will be a Coy-themed Friday Five for those of you who care what I have to say about this situation.

Thanks, dude! I’m supposed to have my dissertation complete by the 14th, so I hope to get back on it after that with the blog.

Mike - Yeah, yeah…the next thing you know - you’ll be using the next refueling outage as an excuse.
