    WOOOOOHHHH (Standard Rick Flair Yell)

Sounds like the “politiburo” was a little ticked off that someone actually stood for morality, fairness and what is right instead of the back scratching, nepotistic and “quid-pro-quo” ideologies that were my fathers Cabarrus Republican party.

If this keeps up, idiots like Coy Privette and Larry Craig could be a thing of the past…

Very interesting. The Executive Board members who walked out should have had a copy of Justin’s 5 lessons from “Are You a Chicken or an Eagle”. All 5 are applicable, but #4 really stands out.

    Lesson 4:
“What I learned was that if you’re going to lead it’s important to not to run for cover at the first site of trouble; but to deal with it directly. Leadership of that level is terribly rare - but it’s desperately needed.” (Justin)

While reading the article, I had flashbacks of “The Great Escape” in Harrisburg. I hope this doesn’t become a trend in Cabarrus County politics.

Sounds like some people might have a black eye today.

According to the newspaper article “the group’s meeting Thursday turned into a shouting match”. Let me guess who yelled the loudest, does his name start with Ric and end with Starnes?

And sorry to disappoint you Aaron, but there’s plenty of idiots left in this world (I just named one).

According to the IT, there was videotaping and audio recording.

Anyone put the video on YouTube?

    Go Justin Go!!!

I’m not sure how’s more unstable Coy Boy or Audy. I’d pay good money to see video footage of this. Maybe you all could show it as a party fundraiser…

I think it’s consummately rude for a blogger not to respond to any commenter. I appreciate you all. Normally, I’d respond to you all individually. However, given the sensitivity behind this - let me address a few things. This will be all I’ll be saying on the subject.

    1) There was video; but that was in the event that minutes of the meeting couldn’t be taken. This is not video that will go up on YouTube and I will not be sharing it with anyone that doesn’t need it to help adjudicate this situation.

    2) I did NOT appreciate being put in the position of managing the anarchy that the other officers allowed by turning tail. However, I was able to reestablish order.

    3) I won’t be blogging about this anytime soon as it still needs to get worked out; because I have all of the trust that the leadership of the other Republican organizations in the state will handle the lack of leadership in the Cabarrus GOP Men’s Club.

    4) We live in a nation of laws and a society of rules - regardless of someone’s convictions, belief, or emotion - those need to be respected. It saddens me that too many of those who aspire to leadership in politics, business, and civic institutions are increasingly derelict in understanding and operating within these rules - especially when things don’t turn out their way.

In short: I feel I was born too late. There was a day when men were men and were bound by honor. Today, it seems that many of us are devolving into creatures of selfishness and opportunity.

Welcome to the club. It’s getting pretty full in here, we may have to raise dues to get a bigger meeting place. Say BOA Stadium…
