Could this image be the “Marines at Iwo Jima” of The Surge?
A former Marine and wildly popular conservative blogger speaks against waterboarding. A SERE school instructor agrees with him. Giuilani disagrees with them both. I’m with the Marines on this one.
Liberal bloggers have potty mouths
Of course, those same bloggers can’t quite figure out if they are liberal or progressive - neither can their frontrunner.
The light rail death: “This really isn’t a political issue, but I am going to bet it will be made into one by the light-rail opponents“. Jeff Taylor already did and I chastised him for it before that prediction. Life moves pretty fast on the Tubes.
The media is good to the Clintons because they threaten better than the rest. A NC, female, conservative teacher has some advice for Hillary on that matter: “Take it like a man“
You’d be surprised who’s asking for increased CAFE standards
We’ve gone from naming our restaurants after scarlet swine to using biological constants.
The first next-generation nuclear reactor in the US is to be built by the French. You can thank Jimmy Carter for losing us the lead there.
More Americans have more disposable income - I blame George W. Bush

I highly prefer people with potty mouths over Political “strategists” that start rumors behind an opponent’s back saying that the opponent has fathered an illegitimate black baby. And liberal bloggers might have potty mouths, but at least they’re not having a potty mouth on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
Finally, the number of Americans living in poverty has risen by 5.5 million from 2000 to 2006 - I blame George Bush

I highly prefer people who can have a discussion and listen, while at the same time respect everyone. I don’t care what ‘word’ someone uses to describe themselves, we are all human beings and we are not perfect. By the way… the only money I have to burn is my weekly gas money.

LiberalNC - Did you notice on the graph that the percentage stayed rather flat? Also, I think what we called poverty 20 years ago is different from what we call it now.
Mark - Are you better off now than you were 10 years ago?

flat graph?
Are you looking at the same graph I’m looking at?
If you look at the line that states “number in poverty”. If you start at the year 2000 that line goes up diagonally at an angle of about 45 degrees.
You call that flat?
So you say that we drastically changed what we call poverty since the year 2000?
The Census bureau graph lists the number of people in poverty at 31 million. In 2006 they say the number is 36.5 million.
If my math skills are still at elementary level that means that since the year Dubya took office the number of people in poverty has risen by 5.5 million.

Look at the PERCENTAGE - it hangs around 12% or so.
And pay close attention, the pivot point took place in 2000.
