Two things happened yesterday:
A landmark agreement for the NCRC is settled and the Speedway is saved by offering road improvements (and renaming one road) [here's the Observer Article on the Speedway]
Now, ask yourself this question: Could the old majority - who took 5 years to decide to build a jail that was needed immedately; who promised adequate school construction with a pay-as-you-go plan, but who doubled the debt instead with inadequate school construction; and who got into a lawsuit with the City of Concord and nearly the school board - have pulled one, let alone, both of these off?
We’ve got elections coming up folks - let’s remember the past so that we don’t repeat it. Let’s continue to move forward from the backward thinking of the Cabarrus Taxpayers’ Association.
PS - Be sure to participate in my new poll on this site.
