General Candidate Question: What About The Budget?

I’m moving a few comments from the thread on Larry Burrage to ask this question of the candidates (or officials or those who just lurk around here).

With 20/20 hindsight - what would you change about this year’s budget that was agreed to last summer.

Bob -

I wish that kind of interest would be shown by the other 150,000+ residents of the county, especially here at the upcoming budget time, when the board will often be meeting in front of an empty room

Good government rarely makes headlines.

You will probably not see me there; but - if you will recall - I was there during many of those types of meetings under the old majority. It’s because I didn’t trust THEM to make the right decision; but I trust the current majority to do so.

So, when you’re looking at those empty seats - don’t consider it a sign of apathy…consider it votes of approval…by proxy.
