This past Monday, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners voted to not adjust the tax rate to coincide with the recent revaluation.
Coy Privette said we Republicans needed to “repent” as he voted against it.
I’ll just leave it to y’all to chew on that one.
So, the question is - could they have cut taxes?

I’m trying to bite my tongue over that “statement”. I guess it goes back to what my dad used to tell me, “Do as I say, not as I do.” We wouldn’t have to repent from breaking the Conservative Republican Tradition if those in power had done a better job at sticking to their guns when it came down to it. This is true within the county as well as nationally.

Caleb - Indeed.
I think it would be useful to have Commissioner (and candidate) Carruth do a series of posts on the current budget for the people.
