Cabarrus Cheap Seats

Spirited Discussion About Life in Cabarrus County, North Carolina

Welcome Back, Caleb

July 17th, 2008 by Justin Thibault · 18 Comments

I’ve missed Caleb around here; but he’s come back something fierce.  While I’ve always thought that coming back with ad hominem attacks with the same is a bad idea - I’ll make an exception for this gem:

I’m actually going out on a thursday night, so you won’t hear from me again till roughly 2am. You know, when the bars close. (better call your grand-daughter in the morning to make sure she hasn’t fallen for a good-looking conservative boy).

Note, I’ve moved these comments from the school board thread.

Oh, and to our new friend, I suggest you read the rules: drop the “F” bomb again and I’ll take away your vowels for a while.

Why vote “real dem?” Congressional ratings have fallen to single digits since 2006. Say what you want about Bush’s low approval ratings, but NO Congress has ever had single digit ratings.

Do you really think someone would take the time to read a 60 page essay on what Robin Hayes believes or wants to accomplish? Websites are short worded because they don’t want to lose people’s interest. I’ve seen others like you comment on blogs, and all you do is hit your high points here and there and try to hammer them home, but then once you are disproved you don’t care to comment anymore (ie, the last blog on “illegal” campaign tactics).

I guess you can vote “Real Dem” if you think we should keep the ban on offshore drilling. Of course, every Democrat lectures about how offshore drilling won’t change anything or have any change on the market for many years to come, but they still try to tell us how we need to “invest” in other energy forms. This makes it sound like there is some quick fix out there, that the Democrats can find if they can just invest our money in all of these other things. Bush says drill, and oil drops below $130. Perhaps a little market speculation?

Also, Congressional Democrats plan to tap into our Strategic Oil Reserve is flat out wrong. At current output levels, that supply would be drained in less than a week. Another great idea!

So yes, lets add more Dems to the pile that roughly 10% of Americans think are doing a good job. Then lets throw in a flip flopping President who doesn’t really know what he wants to do about anything, and changes his foreign policy stance monthly. Thus the path to America’s downfall.

Well, I’ll speak for this blog like I do for this Nation, “Love it or leave it.” No one is asking you to contribute, so if its below you to talk the issues with us, then I’m sure no one will miss you. I would say hey to Robin for you, but I don’t know who you are, since I’m brave enough to lay my real name and reputation out on the line.

I notice you never really respond to the issues I bring up, you just move to the side and talk about nothing. Typical liberal response. I’d love for one of you to stand up for your beliefs, just once.

Hayes at least gave 5 pages, you didn’t give anything. I’d debate you anywhere, anytime, any place, any audience, and you’d get shown up by someone who hasn’t even graduated college yet. Thats a promise. You haven’t given ANY response other than namecalling or bashing. No solutions, no debate to any points anyone has brought to the table. You just turn it to nothing, and make some statement that you think is funny. You’re not funny, and If you’d care to venture out of your safe zone where you’re just a faceless name, then I’ll be there, waiting. Until then, don’t question me; I’m the one putting myself out there, you’re hiding. The only “girl” here is you. If you want to debate the issues, you’ll lose. If you don’t, then stop talking. I’m tired of name-calling liberals who have nothing else to bring to the table.

Buddy, If you’re questioning my social life, then you definitely have never met me. Do your homework before you question the kind of person I am.

Yes, we’re winning in Iraq. If you think we’re not then you don’t read. I think Iraq has performed well on all but 2 milestones that a Congressional Committee assigned them. I’m actually going out on a thursday night, so you won’t hear from me again till roughly 2am. You know, when the bars close. (better call your grand-daughter in the morning to make sure she hasn’t fallen for a good-looking conservative boy).

As for the Soviets, we should’ve tried to beat them any way possible. Yes, it sucks that it didn’t turn out the way we would’ve hoped, but now neither Saddam nor the Soviets are in power. Who would’ve thunk it?

Like I said, I’m going out, so you won’t hear from me till late. Guess I do have a social life.

    Justin:

I never really left. Just haven’t had much to say recently, I guess. Just needed something to get me going.

Which brings me back to you, JTU. I don’t know what you mean by your Green Card Statement, so therefore, it doesn’t need a response other than “Alright”.

You didn’t really say anything else. If you want to talk about how to lead this nation forward, and how Larry Kissel will (read won’t) do that, then be my guest. Stop talking about nonsense, and lets get down to business.
