Good mornin’ - here’s some stuff I’ve picked up around the web since last Monday.
Democrats Fear NASCAR Cooties - here’s a good collection of articles: Charlotte Observer (news article), Charlotte Observer (editorial) Carolina Politics Online, Carolina Politics Online Again, The Moderate Voice (great cartoon); but the best analysis, hands down, came from our friends at [...]

It Ain’t Me
September 6th, 2007 · 2 Comments
Someone pointed out to me that yesterday’s Observer reported the following:

Friday Five: Counting My Blessings
August 3rd, 2007 · 5 Comments
I’d wanted to do this when I got back from my recent hiatus for the Friday Five. Then again, it was more fun messing with y’all two weeks ago with my “big news” story. Anyhow, you probably will find this too sappy, sanctimonious, silly, and never visit here again. Then again, you [...]

I’ve been talking to some of the 2007 Candidates in the Cabarrus County Election, and trying to come up with some new ideas to help y’all meet them. One of the ones I talked to was Mike Tallent. Mike was kind enough to try his hand at blogging and submitted an article yesterday. [...]

After the civil war ended slavery was outlawed and the fifteenth amendment was adopted. It stated that the United States would not deny voting rights on account of race or color. This brought on poll taxes, grandfather clauses and literacy tests in the South. These were all ways to try and prevent African Americans from [...]
